Flowers for your hat

I walked in.  The two women introduced themselves to me.  Then one  asked, "Would you like some flowers to decorate your hat?"

I was  not wearing a hat.  I was not carrying a hat.  No hat was visible upon my person.

I did want flowers to decorate my hat.  I went out and got my hat.

I was impressed that she asked me just the right question.
